Commission an Original Pet Painting

I have been painting dogs and other pets for many
years and enjoy creating these original works of art
very much. It is a collaboration with the client in many
ways - you can suggest the pose, colours and setting
of the background, or allow the painting to develop
with the artist's vision.

To begin the project I have made the following
suggestions for client information:

I work from photos that you send by mail or email.
Please send 2-3 photos that are clear showing a close-up of the face and some photos with full body.

If you live in the Greater Toronto Area we can make
arrangements to take photos of your pet at your
place of residence or wherever is convenient.

If sending photos by regular mail - all the photos will
be returned along with the final painting.

Include with your correspondence the name of your
pet and any other information that will help in
understanding it's personality.

found further down this page.

Mail a 50% deposit to start the painting commission.

I will first create a rough sketch of the pose that will
become the final painting. This sketch will be emailed
to you - some changes can be made at this stage.

Once you approve this sketch the final painting will
begin to be made.

Upon completion of the painting I will email a photo
for your approval. Minor changes can be made at this stage. Your satisfaction is very important - and I want
to make sure you are completely happy with
the final product.

Before the finished painting is mailed to you
please mail the outstanding payment amount.

Once your payment is received and cleared the painting
is packaged carefully and mailed to your address.

The amount of time to begin and receive delivery of
your painting will be 2- 3 weeks. In peak periods like
the holiday seasons it will take a bit longer.

These prices are for one figure in the painting. An
extra charge of $50 will apply for each additional figure
in the painting.

The appropriate taxes and the Shipping and Handling costs will be added to the painting price.

For Ontario residents - 8% Retail Sales Tax
For Canadian residents - 5% GST Tax

Delivery costs will be determined by the size of the
canvas and your address.
